Hey all,


      Got into my struts this afternoon, one of them is JUNQUE! Dented! If anyone has a useable outer

strut housing they are not going to use in this lifetime I'm a buyer. I'm NOT going to pay $2400 for a new one from New Classic and I do have a "plan B" if I can't find one from the gang.

   Brought my strut barrels and piston cylinders to a high end shop in Charleston this morning. "Cake walk" they tell me. You need them back tomorrow they ask? Next week will be fine. They are going to push the dents out then knurl the tube round and straight again. They even do plating and HVOF coatings on site if needed.

 They are working up a price for me but for my purpose price is irrelevent. Just so it's less than $2400 each
New Classic wants. I let everyone know how many $'s when I know.
   The shop foreman was one of my reservist about 15 years ago and we also knew each other from active duty about 35 years back. These will be side door projects for him. Most of their business is stuff like 3-4 feet in
diameter and up to 40' in length. The do some stuff for Boeing like the HVOF coatings and machining/polish
of resurfaced struts and cylinders. He'll take some of these jobs as a favor for me so I'll be your point of contact. D.L.

     I've gathering the parts to do my struts and yes, I do have the new "o ring" kits. 
Question, does anyone have the drawing of how these install? I tried pulling the drawing
here but only got error messages when I tried to get it to load.

they just got put up again on facebook. basically a metal beam of some kind with a long big bolt and two nuts on one end to pull the piston out of the strut. I will try to get to the computer withe the photos and post them, gtg.
